XOff-campus Housing You can rent an apartment or a room near Pudong campus.The room rate depends on room’s space and decoration condition. Usually, an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room and has some household electric appliances like air-conditioner, water heater, TV, etc will cost you about4500-6000 RMB a month. However, the price does not include the water, electric and gas bill.. Food:RMB50-100per dayin campus, 100 per day out of campus Public Transport:Fortaxi service, all taxis in Shanghai charge a starting fee of RMB14 (3km) and an additional RMB2.1 perkilometreafter the first3km.Or you can takepublictransportation. About 1000 yuan per month. Miscellaneous: Please note that these are average amounts that students spend per month. Some students spend far less, others far more.About 1500 -3000yuan per month. ·The Registration Form of Temporary Residence (TR) is a document about your temporary living address which is issued by local police station. Visa |
·Internationalstudents canapply avisafor study (X1visaor X2visa)fromtheEmbassy of People's Republic of China stationed abroadwhile they arenot in China. ·Internationalstudentswho willstudyin China for less than 180 daysnormallywillgetasingleentry X2visa.Iftheinternationalstudent with singleentryX2 visaneedstoleaveChina during thestudy duration,you canapply foramultipleentryX2 visa.If theinternationalstudent get an X1 visa, please contact university within 5 days after you arrive in China, because X1 visa only valid for 30 days. ·SLUstronglyrecommend internationalstudentsenter China andregistertouniversityin strict accordance with theproposed date specified in theAdmissionLetter.Early entry duringuniversityholidayscouldleadtoillegalstaying andunnecessary trouble. ·Pleasecheck your passportregularandpay attention to the validity period ofyour Visas.To extend your visa,International studentsshall apply toInternational Student Officeat least10work-daysbefore visa expires.Orthestudentmust leave China before thevisaexpiredate. ·Overstayingis illegal.There will be a fine of500 yuan per day, maximum 10,000 yuan. According to SLU regulations, all international students are required to purchase a Comprehensive Insurance & Protection Scheme for Foreigners studying in China during registration. The Insurance plan is provided by the Ping-An Insurance Group Co. of China Ltd. You can also refer to the Insurance Guide and Claim Guide on www.lxbx.net. If you have ever bought insurance covering the whole study abroad time in China, please offer the copy oftheinsurance when you register at SLU. |
