国际经贸学院（以下简称“学院”）下设国际经济与贸易、经济学、国际商务、数字经济4个本科专业，设置开放经济与贸易研究中心、数字经贸创新实验中心，与安徽财经大学联合培养国际商务专业硕士研究生。学院依托学校优质会计及金融教育教学资源，突出经济学和管理学学科交叉融合，构建以职业能力提升为核心的国际经贸应用型人才培养体系。
截至2024年4月，学院共有教工97人，其中专业教师82人（含常任轨教师4人）。专业教师中，高级职称、博士学位、获得国外学历学位和国外访学进修、“双师型”教师占比分别为45%、90%、60%、52%。现有校外特聘教授、客座教授和创业导师40余人，上海高校“青年东方学者”等上海市人才计划13人。教师获得“宝钢优秀教师奖”“中国产学研合作促进奖”“上海市巾帼建功标兵”“上海市育才奖”等荣誉称号。学院现有学生1454人。
学院高度重视学科专业建设，对接国家重大战略和区域地方经济社会发展需求，发展优势学科和交叉学科，推进一流本科专业建设。开放经济与贸易学科是上海市重点学科，国际贸易学科是上海市教委重点学科，经济学和国际商务学科是学校重点学科，牵头成立上海市经济学会数字经济研究专业委员会。2005年国际经济与贸易专业获批首批竞争性“上海高校外贸经济本科教育高地”建设项目，2017年获批第三批上海市属高校应用型本科试点专业、上海高校全英语规划专业建设项目，2019年入选教育部首批国家级一流本科专业建设点，2020年成为全国首个通过长三角新文科教育认证联盟自主认证专业。2020年经济学专业入选省级一流本科专业建设点，2023年通过长三角新文科教育认证联盟自主认证专业。2021年国际商务专业入选省级一流专业建设点，2012年国际商务专业获批首批上海高校大学生创新创业教育实验基地。2021年获批上海首个数字经济本科新专业，2022年开始招生。学院现有《统计学》《国际商务谈判》《国际经济学》《国际经济合作》4门国家级一流课程、《计量经济学》《微观经济学（全英语）》《财经中国》3门上海市一流课程，《国际贸易学》等18门上海市精品、重点课程，《宏观经济学》《统计学》2门市级优质在线课程，《微观经济学》等4门市级示范性全英语课程，《政治经济学》入选市级课程思政示范课程、课程思政示范教学团队，2门课程入选上海高校优质混合式在线课程示范案例集。
近五年，学院教师在《经济研究》《管理世界》《Journal of Environmental Economics and Management》《Journal of Business Research》等期刊上发表高水平学术论文100余篇，其中B级以上论文85篇，SSCI 及SCI索引论文57篇；获得国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金、教育部人文社科基金、上海市哲学社会科学基金等省部级及以上级别课题项目28项；提交省部级及以上决策咨询报告57篇，其中获得省部级以上领导批示29篇；获省部级奖项7项；出版专著4本。学院与加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学、美国密苏里大学、英国林肯大学、美国尼亚加拉大学、日本千叶商科大学等多所海外大学建立了合作关系。
现有上海浦东外商投资企业协会、简柏特（苏州）信息技术服务有限公司上海分公司、上海跨境电子商务公共服务有限公司、中国服务贸易协会、上海外高桥保税区国际人才服务有限公司等26家产学研基地。
学院高度重视学生的诚信品格和创新实践能力的培养，为学生搭建包括专业实习、创新创业训练、学科竞赛、社会调查等各类实践平台。学生多次获得“互联网+”“挑战杯”“创青春”等各类学科竞赛奖项。近三年，学院毕业生平均就业率超过98%，2023届毕业生就业率为99.19%。境内外继续深造的毕业生占比近20%。毕业生主要就职于政府部门、事业单位、金融机构、中外资企业等单位，用人单位对毕业生满意度普遍较高。
The School of International Economics and Trade (hereinafter referred to as "the School") offers four undergraduate majors: International Economics and Trade, Economics, International Business, and Digital Economy. It also hosts the Open Economy and Trade Research Center and the Digital Economy and Trade Innovation Laboratory. The School also joins Anhui University of Finance and Economics to offer a master's programme. The School stresses the cross-disciplinary capability in economics and management, based on the university's high-quality accounting and finance education and teaching resources.It establishes a talent training system specialized in international economics and trade to enhance vocational ability.
As ofApril 2024, the School has97 faculty members, including 82 teaching positions (four tenured). Among them all, 45% have professorship, 90% with doctoral degrees, 60% have foreign educational backgrounds, and 52% have dual roles in academics and industry. The School has over 40 experts, including distinguished professors, visiting scholars and entrepreneur mentors. 13 faculties enrolled in various Shanghai talent programs, including Young Oriental Scholars. Faculties have been granted honours in the "Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award", "China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Award", "Shanghai Women's Pioneer in Building Success", and "Shanghai Yucai Award".
The School prioritizes teaching programme development, combining the national disciplinary strategies and the regional and local economic and social demands to guide the curriculum design. The School has had fruitful teaching outputs for the past years. It was listed in the first cohort of the competitive "Highland of Undergraduate Education in Foreign Trade Economy of Shanghai Universities" construction project 2005. The building of all English planning majors in Shanghai institutions and the third batch of applied undergraduate pilot majors were approved in 2017. It was also selected as the first cohort of national first-class undergraduate major building points by the Ministry of Education in 2019, and it became the first major in China to be independently accredited by the Yangtze River Delta New Liberal Arts Education Accreditation Alliance in 2020. As the first experimental base of innovation and entrepreneurship education for university-level students in Shanghai, the international business major was approved in 2012. In 2021, it was chosen as one of Shanghai's first undergraduate majors; in 2021, it was approved as Shanghai's first undergraduate major in the digital economy. In 2022, it began accepting students. The School offers 16 Shanghai high-quality and important courses in international trade, two municipal high-quality online courses in macroeconomics and statistics, four municipal-level courses in microeconomics, and four national "first-class" courses in statistics, international business negotiation, international economics, and international economic cooperation. Two courses have been chosen as a model case set of high-quality hybrid online courses in Shanghai universities, and "Political Economy" has been chosen as a model course and a model teaching team of ideological and political courses at the city level.
In the past five years, Faculty members have published more than 98 academic papers in highly ranked academic journals, such as Economic Research, Management World, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, and Journal of Business Research. It includes 80 papers with a B-level ranking or above and 52 papers with SSCI and SCI-indexed papers. They have also worked on 34 projects at the provincial and ministerial level and above, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China, the Humanities and Social Sciences, and other foundations. The School has also submitted 53 decision-making consultation reports at the provincial and ministerial levels and above. Among them, 25 were instructed by provincial and ministerial-level leaders. Furthermore, the School has also won six provincial and ministerial-level awards and has published seven monographs.
The School cooperates with several foreign universities, including the University of Missouri, Lincoln University, Niagara University, and Chiba University of Commerce in Japan. The School operates almost 30 industry-academic-research hubs, including the State Nuclear Commercial Factoring Co., the Shanghai office of Genpact (Suzhou) Information Technology Service Co., Ltd., and the Shanghai Pudong Foreign Investment Enterprises Association.
The School stresses students' morality development and practical skills. It provides various practical learning opportunities for students, such as professional internships, training in innovation and entrepreneurship, disciplinary competitions, social research, and more. Students have received numerous awards in academic competitions, including "Internet+," "Challenge Cup," and "Youth Creation". Graduate employment rates have surpassed 98% in the last three years and reached 99.47% in 2022. Near 20% of graduates continue their education in and out of China. Employers are satisfied with our graduates, mostly government agencies, organizations, financial institutions, and international and Chinese businesses.
