Enrolment Scheme for 2018 CFLP Summer Program in Financial Law & Shanghai Summer Session of LLM in Transnational Commercial Practice

The CFLP Program will be a part of the LLM in Transnational Commercial Practice, and the participants in the LL.M. program will earn three credits after completing this summer program. The course is jointly taught in the morning hours by foreign professors.

The afternoon workshops and activities will include lectures, seminars and a SSE visit organized and chaired by the Center for Financial Law and Policy.

Three scholarships are available for the LLM in the Transnational Commercial Practice program under the cooperation with Lazarski University, Warsaw, and Eötvös Lorand University, Budapest. The scholarships are available to the three students with the best results in the summer course examination. Students wishing to compete for the scholarships are strongly advised to participate in the afternoon workshops.

Pennsylvania State University, School of Law International Program

The program requires students to take at least 24 credits of courses, usually lasting one year. Except for the two compulsory courses Introduction to U.S. Legal Systems (2 credits) and Legal Analysis, Writing and Research (2 credits), the rest of the courses are freely chosen by students according to their interests. Experienced teachers provide LLM students with courses that fit their personal career plans. LLM students share teaching resources with JD students and take classes with JD students. The advanced teaching equipment can provide students with videos of all courses, and students can play them back through the system.

Chinese Moot Court Competition of the International Criminal Court

The Chinese Moot Court Competition of the International Criminal Court is sponsored by the China International Criminal Law Young Scholars’ Union, and the International Criminal Court provides assistance to the Competition.

Participation in this competition and the above achievements have improved the SLU students’ ability to write international criminal case briefs, deepened their understanding and application of international criminal law knowledge, facilitated their familiarity with the trial rules and procedures of the International Criminal Court, and greatly encouraged them to actively study international criminal law. Thus, it has laid a solid foundation for the goal of cultivating compound, applied and internationalized high-quality professionals in our School of Law.

Our School won the first prize in the Chinese Moot Court Competition of the International Criminal Court in 2019 and the third prize in the 2020 Competition.
