The executive leadership of SLU attached great importance to participation in the “Challenge Cup” competition, provided strong support and guided the preparation. The functional departments and schools of SLU cooperated with each other and made timely adjustments to the oral defense plan for the national competition as required by the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure that students could give full play to their oral defense under limited circumstances. The Youth League Committee of SLU made mobilization and organization, and secondary colleges provided detailed guidance. And internal and external experts were invited to offer more coaching to optimize the content and quality of the works.

The breakthrough in the prizes taken from the “Challenge Cup” has demonstrated the results of the efforts made by the SLU Youth League Committee to implement the innovation capacity building project for the students. Going forward, it will continue to press ahead with the competition to better meet the scientific innovation needs of students, coordinate the resources of SLU and businesses, serve and guide more students to participate in scientific innovation, and build an innovation capacity building system, in a bid to better promote the overall development of SLU, and contribute to faster progress of students in innovation.
