SLU’s First Undergraduate Forum

To encourage the students of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (SLU) to pursue science and knowledge, work hard, innovate and to build a good campus culture, SLU held the first undergraduate forum on the Shangchuan Road Campus on December 8th, 2021. Wang Junhua, Vice Chair of the SLU University Council and Vice President of SLU attended, the forum and delivered a speech, followed by Zeng Sisheng, Vice President of Dahan Tricom, Vice Chairman of the Anhui Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Computer Industry Association and SLU graduate of the Class of 2005, who delivered a keynote speech. The forum was also attended by approximately 100 faculty members and students from the Students Affairs Department, the Department of Research, the Youth League Committee, the Office of Academic Journals and the Alumni Affairs and Education Development Office.


In his speech, Wang extended his warm welcome to the guests for their presence and expressed his thanks to the faculty and students of SLU. He said that SLU, as a high-level and practice-oriented university in Shanghai, should place more emphasis on helping students develop the scientific spirit, the ability to innovate and critical thinking, and nurturing innovative, versatile and practical talents to contribute to China’s efforts to build global talent and innovation hubs. He expressed his hope that SLU undergraduates could have more insightful thinking, spark new ideas and propose unique perspectives to help support SLU’s endeavors to build high-level undergraduate education.


Zeng delivered a keynote speech titled “5G Enabling Financial Transition to Digitalization and Intelligence”, where he provided the updates on the financial information service industry. Six SLU students, namely Liu Yixin, Jin Peiying, Chen Xinyu, Liu Shuo, Xu Yingzhi and Xu Haoyang, delivered their keynote speeches as well, where they shared their award-winning works, academic papers, research outcomes and experience for competitions. Director of the Office of Academic Journals Chen Chunhua and the instructor Zhou Jiawen from the SLU School of International Economics and Trade commented on the speeches of the students.

Wang conferred the “Elite Award” of the forum on the six students, and encouraged them to continually work hard, contribute their expertise to the country, serve the society, demonstrate the spirit of SLU with concrete action and persevere to embrace a brighter future.

The forum has provided an opportunity for SLU students to have academic innovation and for SLU to implement its talent development plan.
