SLU Deepens the Cooperation with Memorial University of Newfoundland

In order to promote international exchanges and cooperation among students and teachers, encourage and support to undertake academic and cross-cultural activities, recently, SLU signed a memorandum of understanding and exchange student agreement with Memorial University of Newfoundland.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides agree on the implementation of exchange of faculty members, undergraduate and graduate student mobility, exchange of research material,joint projects on research, teaching and faculty development,joint or collaborative degree programs,full-time visiting undergraduate or graduate study, etc. Under the memorandum of understanding, the two sides have made specific agreements for the exchange of students.

Founded in 1925 and located in St. John's city in eastern Canada, Memorial University of Newfoundland is the largest comprehensive university in eastern Canada, also is one of the best comprehensive universities in Canada and a member of the International University Association (IAU). As one of the top 20 research universities in Canada, Memorial University has more than 30 research centers and more than 19000 students from 115 countries, including more than 1,500 graduate fellowships and 854 PhD students. Memorial University is in the top 700 in the world, according to the 2021 Academic Ranking of World Universities, commonly known as the Shanghai Ranking.
