The History of Chinese Financial Thought,published byLixin Accounting Publishing House, won the first prize at the 16th Shanghai Book Awards. The book was authored by China’s well-known economist Jia Kang and others, who provided a comprehensive review of the Chinese philosophy on finance, including its origin, generation, and development, encompassing the outcomes typical of the Chinese philosophy on finance over several thousand years. It is one of the book projects financed by China’s National Publication Foundation and the Shanghai Culture Development Foundation.
The awarding event for the 16th Shanghai Book Awards was organized by the Shanghai Publication Association, where 372 books published by 35 publishers in Shanghai from November 2017 to December 2020 were reviewed. The office for reviewing the books invited experts to provide preliminary and final reviews on the candidates that were then examined by editors and proofreaders. In the end, 104 books stood out from the candidates to win the awards.
