Chun LIAO has got Ph. D degree in Free University Berlin in Germany. She is awarded as a Shuguang Scholar in Shanghai. She has led and also has joined several research projects that are from above province and ministry level. She has published dozens of academic papers in Chinese or in English. She is also the author of several academic books. Her representative research work is the book《The Governance Structures of Chinese Firms - China's Innovation System and Chinese Model》(Second Edition), which is published by the world largest publisher Springer in its New York center. The first edition of the book was published in 2009 by Springer. This should be the first book that systematically analyzes the China's innovation system and Chinese model, and compares it with American model and Germany-leading European model.
