Content:This course is a basic course for senior students of the English program. The course is to teach students basic translation theories, common methods and techniques on the basis of the general rules and principles of translation as well as the similarities and differences between English and Chinese expressions, to cultivate their basic skills in English-Chinese translation through repeated practice, to help students to skillfully use the knowledge of basic grammar and vocabulary for translation, and to equip them with a strong sensitivity to cultural differences, allow them to better handle images and metaphors with national characteristics in Chinese, and make them competent in the general translation work of politics, economy, culture, science and technology, applied literature,etc.
