Course Introduction:
This course is a required course for insurance program. It is divided into two parts, the basic theory of property insurance and the basic knowledge of practice. The theoretical part introduces the basic principles of property insurance, property insurance contract, property insurance market,etc. On the basis of comprehensive study of the basic theory, the practical part introduces group fire insurance, family property insurance, motor vehicle insurance, cargo transportation insurance, engineering insurance, liability insurance, credit insurance and other insurance types. Through the comprehensive study of the theory and practice, students can systematically understand the overall development of China’s property insurance market, and can deeply explore relevant difficulties and key issues in combination with practice.
This course adopts multimedia teaching. According to its strong practical characteristics, teachers will combine a large number of cases to better connect with business practice and market development. Besides, for some hot topics, teachers will organize students to carry out the corresponding social investigations, classroom discussions,etc. Students’ usual performance is rated mainly according to their practical abilities with flexible and practical methods (such as essays, case analysis, group discussion papers, social investigation reports,etc.). The final exam is a standardized, closed-book exam.
This course integrates the core socialist values into the classroom teaching and highlights the application-oriented characteristics. The principle of utmost good faith is integrated into the application of various types of property insurance to further enhance students’ concepts of harmony, equality, the rule of law and dedication.
