This course is a veryimportant basic theoretical course for the majors of economicsandmanagement, science and engineering. It lays a necessary mathematicalfoundation for the learning of subsequent courses and the acquisitionof further mathematical knowledge (such as probability theory andMathematical Statistics). It is also one of the required subjects forthe entrance examination of relevant postgraduate students.
Through the study ofthis course, on the one hand, students can master the basic knowledgeof function and limit, one variable differential, one variableintegral, differential equation and so on, and can skillfully usethem to analyze and solve some practical problems; on the other hand,through various teaching links, students will be trained to havecertain abstract thinking ability, logical reasoning ability andspatial imagination ability.
