Recently, IBA held a 3-day “International Days” event. This event was designed to offer global vision and thinking training to all new students of IBA.
Ms. Ildikó Antal, director of IBA Confucius Institute, held three online consulting conferences for new students on the actuality of IBA Confucius Institute, the Chinese language course offered by IBA Confucius Institute, the cultural activities organized by IBA Confucius Institute and the Summer Camp in China, and invited IBA’s students to share their student life at SLU. This online event was attended by more than 300 persons, and the effect of publicity was remarkable. Many new students actively registered for the Chinese language course of IBA Confucius Institute. At present, there are 157 registered students. Due to the impact of COVID-19, IBA Confucius Institute adopts online teaching mode and offers 11 classes, including 5 elementary Chinese classes, hitting an all-time record.

At present, the epidemic status of COVID-19 in Denmark is still serious, though online teaching has not yet dampened the enthusiasm of students for learning Chinese. The Confucius Institute and SLU-IBA “2+2” joint education project are closely concerned by Danish students. SLU and IBA will work together to build the Confucius Institute and actively promote international exchanges and cooperation in the future.
