European staff members, all of whom work in or around Confucius Institutes/Classrooms, were invited to the event. There were a great many representatives from Danish Confucius Institutes, but German, Macedonian and Scottish CI members also attended. A total of 25 people were present at the event.

As part of the training, participants worked on several interactive tasks aimed atstrengtheningtheir cultural insight foravoiding misunderstandings; and discussed ways of improving daily cross-cultural communication and collaboration between employees and partners from different cultures. There werea total of seven different nationalities in the room, which encouraged the participants to open their minds and focus on the cultural differences not just between Denmark and China, but across all nationalities.
