From August 24 to 26, the Finals of 2016 National Fencing Championship (university group) were held in Quanzhou, Fujian. Through fierce competitions, Hu Yanjing, Jiang Yiwen and Shen Siyu of Lixin University grabbed gold, silver, and bronze medals in the University Group Women’s Sabre; Wang 06hua won the second place of Men’s Epee; Tian Xinhao won the third place of Men’s Foil; Tan Xiao and Zhao Jiawei tied for third place in Men’s Sabre.
Ten students of Lixin fencing team participated in this competition. Bao Lei won the fifth place in Women’s Sabre and Liu Longfei won the eighth place in Men’s Sabre. As one of the highest level and largest scale fencing competition, it has attracted many student delegations from universities all over China.
