Since the partnership was established between Shanghai Finance University and Cracow University of Economics, CUE in late 2014, great step-forward of cooperative programs has been seen. On Sunday, June 12, 2016, SFU received Polish honored guests in Shanghai. They are Mr. Professor Andrzej Chochó?, Rector, Mr. Professor Aleksy Pocztowski, Vice Rector for Research, and Ms. Izabela ?ukaszczyk-Nowakowska, Vice-head of International Relations Office. President WANG Hongwei and Vice President CHEN Jingying hosted the meeting with our Polish friends.
With the joints efforts of CUE, SFU was accepted by Erasmus Plus Programs in July 2015. Through Key Action 107 – Mobility for learners and staff – Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility and program grants, SFU selected and will send 2 teachers, 2 administrative staff and 2 students to CUE for exchange. Meanwhile, SFU will receive 2 teachers from CUE for teaching activities.
Poland is along the 03itime Silk Route, and is one of the founding members of the Asian infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Founded in 1925, Cracow University of Economics is the largest school of economics in Poland, and the third biggest university in Cracow, a major Polish academic centre. Its disciplines closely match with those of SFU’s. In order to promote the academic and cultural communications, both parties agreed and intend to jointly work on scientific research projects in the areas of One Belt and One Road Economic Studies, Finance, International Trade, Banking, and Big Data.
